Entrepreneurs frequently ask "What's the best way to get the attention of a VC Firm?". My answer is to use leverage the existing relationship between a VC and their CEO's.
For the entrepreneur, the drill is to find CEO's within the VC's existing portfolio who may have applicable industry, technology or market domain expertise around the entrepreneur's company. The entrepreneur approaches the CEO and pitches the company. With any reasonable uptake, the CEO is now well positioned to introduce entrepreneur to the right partner at the VC firm.
This approach also has the benefit the existing CEO being a trusted, knowledgeable colleague and qualifies as the best kind of introduction.
